X Factor winner Alex Kinsey releases first solo EP titled ‘Party of One’

LOS ANGELES, 05/31/19 — Alex Kinsey, one half of X Factor winning duo Alex & Sierra, today releases his solo EP, ‘Party of One.’ Co-written with friends including iLana Armida, Josh Cumbree and Johan Limbrant. Party of One will be released independently through Alex’s own label ‘Kinsey’.

After winning the US X Factor in 2013 as part of Alex & Sierra, the duo went on to have two successful albums and three successful tours. In 2017, Alex formed the band BoTalks. Their first single ‘Know U Anymore’ with Modern Family's Sarah Hyland was a breakout hit with over five million streams and two-and-a-half million plays.

Of this next chapter, Alex said: “I’ve been so fortunate to have an already varied career in music, but it feels like now’s the time to step out from behind the safety of a band and show who I am as a solo artist. I can't wait to see where my own music can take me.”

Influenced by his friend Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Andy Grammer and The Beatles, Alex’s EP is a mix of pop, rock, hip-hop and his own style which creates an edgy, raw sound that has already shown to resonate with audiences and leave them wanting more.

Collectively, Alex has over 450 million plays on Spotify and 170 million views on YouTube. Kinsey, ‘Party of One’ features an eclectic mix of genres including his first single, infectious, dark hit ‘Simple’ and lead single, sexy sultry tune ‘Hot Mess’.

Kinsey: “Party of one is a collection of songs that I love and I am proud of. And I think as an artist, that’s the all I could really hope for in a release. I want to put out music that I would listen to, and I can honestly say that this EP is exactly that. I hope it brings people as much joy to listen to as it brought me to make it!”

Kinsey will be hosting his EP release show, playing the mainstage at Hotel Café on June 6th at 7pm. You can buy tickets here:
